A Dinner Party with Bedouine

Free - $50.00

Join us on April 8 for our next Los Angeles dinner party which includes beer and alcoholic kombucha, a delicious three-course meal and a performance by indie folk artist Bedouine at one of our favorite dinner spots, Checker Hall. Their mouth-watering food will make this your next go to for all things Mediterranean. The dinner we have planned is all vegetarian but Checker Hall does usually have meat dishes on the menu. Check out all their offerings here.
With a sound inspired by 60s folk and 70s country, Bedouine, also known by Azniv Korkejian, captivates audiences with her soothing, sweeping vocal melodies and lithe acoustic guitar plucking. Born in Syria, raised in Saudi Arabia and Boston, and eventually finding herself in LA as she busted out of suburbia to nurture her creativity, Bedouine is no stranger to wanderlust. Her lyrics, which touch on movement and self-discovery in the current social and political climates, are simultaneously deeply personal and affectively far-reaching. In the song “Summer Cold,” from her 2017 self-titled debut album, she calls for an end to gun violence. She wrote the lyrics after finding out Syrian terrorists had access to American-made weapons. “I don't want anything / Ever to do with them / Why must they get involved? / What on earth could this solve?” Bedouine’s evocative lyricism and bewitching stage presence will make for a magical show that could only be made better by some great conversations over a divine meal.
