SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL OF NEW YORK CITY RUBY AWARD
This award honors non-Soroptimist women who are making extraordinary efforts on behalf of other women in their community and working to improve the lives of women and girls.  Join us for this lively event with Jackie Shapiro and a performance by G!RL BE HEARD on Wednesday 17th.  Meet the SINYC team and find out ways you can be involved to support women and girls.  Drinks and light refreshments provided.  Jackie Shapiro is the recipient of the SINYC Ruby Award 2018. Ms. Shapiro has long worked to enhance the lives of many women and girls in her community. She is a writer and has represented nonprofit organizations at the United Nations for fifteen years. Currently, she is a representative for ECPAT-USA, an organization working to end the commercial sexual exploitation of children in the United States. Formerly, she represented Zonta International, a women’s service organization working to advance the status of women and girls worldwide. In her years at the United Nations, Jackie has served as the Chair on various NGO Committees working for the rights of women and girls.Join us, bring a guest or share with friends!
