A Dinner Party with Hazel English

Free - $50.00

The Wild Honey Pie invites you to bask in warm, sunny soundscapes and the bright flavors of the Mediterranean at Checker Hall on August 26. Join us for three courses of delicious  food, complimentary drinks and a special performance by indie singer/songwriter and LA transplant Hazel English.
When dreamy indie pop artist Hazel English left Melbourne for Los Angeles, she was quickly drawn to the connection she felt with the music community. It was there she met producer Jackson Phillips of Day Wave, and together, they bottled the sounds of summer into one infectiously breezy debut album. Just Give In/Never Going Home is lush with daydreamy production and wistful pop melodies. Her sound is shimmery and atmospheric, like the Southern California sunset reflecting on the ocean. It’s reminiscent of Day Wave or Beach Fossils, but edgier, with her moody, nostalgic vocal at the helm. A fan of earworm hooks and raw, affecting lyrics, her songs are often about growing up and living with anxiety. Relatable themes and sun-kissed arrangements evoke a sound that feels timeless, and her live performance will leave you utterly transfixed. Watch our Hazel English Buzzsession here.
Please note that food will be served family style.
