Celebrate National Poetry Month with PSNY & Haricot Vert with a cozy evening of whispers, reverie, and writing—plus complimentary tea!PSNY + Haricot Vert Present: Poetry in the Dreamworld, the National Poetry Month / National Dreamer Day Collaboration of Your Dreams (Literally & Figuratively) ✨Poetry and dreams share a language—symbols, feelings, fragments of memory. Both move through us, often unfiltered, mysterious, and deeply human. In this generative workshop, we’ll explore the parallels between dreaming and writing, using both as tools for deeper self-connection and poetic play.Together, we’ll ask:What does it mean to write from the dreamworld? How can we bridge the unconscious and the poetic? What new questions and images can we dream up—together? We'll look to inspiring poets and intuitive writing prompts to guide us, and close the evening with space to share and reflect. This workshop will be led by Jackie Braje, Brooklyn-based poet, educator, and Chief Operating Officer of The Poetry Society of New York! Jackie is also the Managing Director of the NYC Poetry Festival and co-founder of Milk Press.About PSNY: The Poetry Society of New York is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to promoting poetry within our culture. We envision a world where poetry is not just celebrated, but vital and accessible to all: breaking down barriers, inspiring joy, and uplifting diverse voices. Rooted in the belief that poetry belongs to us all, our mission is to create experiences of poetry where people from all walks of life can explore, express, play, and find a sense of belonging. By prioritizing accessibility, experimentation, collaboration, and undeniable fun, we aim to foster community and innovation in the often stale and isolating literary sphere. Each of our programs offers an invitation into a vibrant poetry world specifically designed to stimulate discovery, wonder, and life-long friendships between artists.
