A Dinner Party with slenderbodies

Free - $50.00

The musical stylings of indie duo slenderbodies cannot be neatly categorized into one genre. Instead their subtle psychedelic grooves are reminiscent of moments: a soft breeze, calm ocean waves, cool summer nights wrapped in a cozy blanket and other comfortable moods. Inspired by the beauty of nature and the serene Southern California coast, their songs will indulge your senses, relaxing you while also making you feel vulnerable and alive. Max Vehuni and Benji Cormack’s wispy falsettos are beautifully transfixing; their vocals are light but clear, so you do not have to struggle to hang onto every word. Though slenderbodies are known for soft melodies, the vivid pictures painted by the lyrics give the songs an undercurrent of euphoria. The consistently intricate guitar and tight percussive elements give the songs a quiet pulse that will always keep your attention.
Similar in tone to the likes of Glass Animals, but with a vibe all their own, slenderbodies is a compelling live act, and they are coming to Brooklyn on August 14 for a special dinner party. Join them, and friendly faces from The Wild Honey Pie, at Ela Taverna in Williamsburg for three courses of authentic, open air Greek cuisine and complimentary beer and cider in an atmospheric setting. As a special treat, we’re partnering with CLIF to give you a taste of their new product lines. CLIF products encourage you to live your most adventurous life and their essence is the perfect compliment to fresh Mediterranean fare and music that celebrates the wonders of nature. We will be finding inventive ways to integrate their tastes into our meal.
